Traditional old plantation houses with high ceilings, old doors, wooden floors, and the original furnishings of tropical woods or wicker furniture are still available in many living rooms of old fashioned estates on many Caribbean islands. Some had been carefully re-stored, others have the beat up patina of many old tropical houses, but they have all a very unique "live-in feel".
Colorful interiors and an original mix of mismatching furniture of the small local Caribbean wood houses are a favorite for many fashion photo shoots. The color combinations are unusual, but in the Caribbean light, they look just right.
